After wonderful visits with my father, a retired naval officer who owned a home in Key West, I decided that Key West was the place for me.
I sold my home and successful real estate company in Colorado, a beautiful but chilly state, and moved to Key West in 1991. Being a navy brat born in Hawaii and raised in San Diego, the move was an easy decision for me, sell Real Estate in The Florida Keys and stay warm year round!
I had to hit the ground running. It took a couple of years to get things going in Key West, but it started to pay off. I've been one of the top agents in town since then. Most of my business comes from repeat business or word of mouth. I really like to use my years of experience to make each real estate transaction as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Do you remember "career day" in high school when you had to guess at what your career might be and do research on it? I never dreamed with the exception of dealing Black Jack in Las Vegas for 5 years in my 20's, I would be a Real Estate Broker for the remainder of my working life.
Aside from a number of blessings I enjoy which includes wonderful Key West friendships, two great kids, and good health, is that I have a job that I really like doing.
In my spare time, I enjoy boating. When ashore puttering in the garden and membership in the Key West Garden Club and The Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden. I have some delightful friends that I play bridge and pickleball with. I also have a little umbrella cockatoo named Mimi!
