After wonderful visits with my father, a retired naval officer who owned a home in Key West, I decided that Key West was the place for me.
I sold my home and successful real estate company in Colorado, a beautiful but chilly state, and moved to Key West in 1991. Being a navy brat born in Hawaii and raised in San Diego, the move was an easy decision for me, sell Real Estate in The Florida Keys and stay warm year round!
I had to hit the ground running. It took a couple of years to get things going in Key West, but it started to pay off. I've been one of the top agents in town since then. Most of my business comes from repeat business or word of mouth. I really like to use my years of experience to make each real estate transaction as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Do you remember "career day" in high school when you had to guess at what your career might be and do research on it? I never dreamed that I would be a Real Estate Broker for most of my working life. In fact, I dealt Black Jack in Las Vegas for 5 years in my twenties.
My biggest blessing in life, aside from my husband, who I dated for 9 years before marrying, and my two kids, is that I have a job that I really like doing.
In my spare time, I enjoy boating. When ashore, I love puttering in the garden. I am a member of the Key West Garden Club and Botanical Garden. I have some delightful friends that I play bridge and pickleball with. I also have a little umbrella cockatoo named Mimi!
